Gosh, it's been so long since I've been inspired to do fandom again. It's been a rough few years as some of you know. But below the cut is my Yuletide letter!

The letter is now complete!

 

Dear Yuletider,

 

Please note that anything you write, I'll be happy with. I tend to like more explicit ratings with my fics, and like a lot of things, but that is NOT a requirement for you. If you want to write "vanilla" or romantic and fluff, or deal with characters' issues and plots instead, I love those types of fics too! I'm really about getting inside the heads and the dynamics of relationships (romantic, sexual, friendship, familiar, or rival) with characters. And then, yeah, I do like em smutty too.

 

If you're here doing a treat, I love fanart (drawn or manipped), I'd be happy with IF too, or if you're into PbtA a playbook based on that character would be real cool too! Fanvids are great, love the type with meaningful lyrics in the songs or powerful music. I do have Escaflowne fic, two completed, and one WIP that I'll eventually finish... If you're inclined for fanart/podfic of that, I'd be so honored!

 

On that note... I'll give my generals first in both the Likes and DoNotWants, and then if I need to do anything for specific fandoms, I will. Honestly, as long as you pay attention to my DNW, that's really what matters. Thank you Yuletider for anything you give me, and happy if I can inspire!

成化十四年 | The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty (TV)

Characters: Pei Huai, Wang Zhi, Tang Fan, Sui Zhou

Ships: Tang Fan/Sui Zhou, Pei Huai/Tang Fan, Tang Fan/Sui Zhou/Wang Zhi, and Pei Huai in any combo with the others.
 

 

I love angsty silent boys, so Wang Zhi is one of my favorites. If you want to do just gen or character driven, he'd be my favorite for that!

Tang Fan would be interesting to see a bit of his more melancholy side, from either before the show or in those low moments. Why and how does he keep such a brave and happy (and sometimes so naive) face?

Pei Huai is a sexy sexy doctor. How'd he get so serious about testing poisons on himself? He seems to be one of the few doctors in the show that truly cares. Backstory on that, on how he and Tang Fan became friends.

Wang Zhi, I enjoy, but not a priority. I'm curious about seeing how he juggles all the court politics with wanting to hang out with Tang Fan or Sui Zhou, how he gets into his feelings about them.

For plot stuff, would love to see other mini cases they did during the season, or downtime, feel free to bring in the food stuffs! Or maybe we see that zombie plot, or something even post that. How their found family works out for them. Feel free to keep Duo'erla alive if you liked that dynamic of her and her people in it. Maybe there's another undercover crossdressing mission? More having to pretend to be a couple/throuple type thing.

I would really love a lot of overt queerness since we couldn't get that in the show. Like I wrote in the request, if you want to do alternate canon scenes that are gayer and/or smuttier, then yes please!

I'm very happy with smut! Especially mixing BDSM with the crossdressing. I could see either Tang Fan or Sui Zhou (and definitely Pei Huai) being the Dom. But I do like switching so maybe it changes for them. Sui Zhou needing to get out of his head and just trust someone or someones and care and service them. Or Tang Fan can never turn his brain off and learns maybe by obeying Sui Zhou (and/or Wang Zhi and/or Pei Huai), he can find that nice space.

Maybe Pei Huai & Tang Fan were friends with benefits. Maybe Sui Zhou and Pei Huai butted heads too many times and needed to let off steam. Maybe Wang Zhi promised something that only through sexual service would he deliver.

I'd love to see also with the trio, the dynamic since Wang Zhi is a eunuch, so to explore other bits of his own sexuality and identity (but I really don't see him much as a bottom), and maybe he just likes to watch, or prefers other acts of love/lust.

I'm not sure I'd be too interested in AUs, though something with cooking, or soulmates, or adding some supernatural/fantasy could be interesting, but probably no modern please.

Specific DNW: Tang Fan/Due'rla, cheating of any sort, women as antagonists, reincarnation stories

 

 

CyberSix
Characters: Lucas Amato, CyberSix | Adrian Seidelman
Ships: Lucas/Adrian

This is really a nostalgia kick for me. I remember falling in love with this show when it first aired! And so sad that it barely lasted a season! I've been trying to track down the original comics even if I can't read them. I know that they're more adult in that one. Honestly, anything you write for this fandom, would be fantastic, like I said.

I love Lucas & Adrian as a couple. I'd love to see more angst happening between them, like if there were extra episodes in the show. With Adrian keeping to their male teacher persona and trying to separate themselves from when they're CyberSix. Kinda like the old "Adventures of Lois & Clark" show (which I also loved). Give me a lot of that, where CyberSix still has to rescue Lucas alot, and he just seems to always be on the verge of figuring out.

I'd also love the idea of playing with gender identity. Does Lucas realize he's bi? Is CyberSix really genderqueer/nonbinary? If you'd rather focus that CyberSix simply crossdresses for safety/necessity, that's fine, too.

Angst with a happy ending please! Or it can be all fluff or adventure. Maybe it's post series and they no longer have to run? Would love to see their first times together. Can be as romantic or smutty as you want.

I don't think BDSM would work great with this couple but other kinks, yes please! 

If anyone does a treat, oh I'd so much would love fanart, doesn't have to be in the cartoon's style, but a bonus! Could see AU art of them together, can be SFW or NSFW! If you want to bring in their good sibling into the mix, that's great too!

Specific DNW: Slice of Life, Breakups, relationships with the students

 

Tenkuu no Escaflowne | The Vision of Escaflowne  
Characters: Van Fanel, Kanzaki Hitomi
Ships: Van/Hitomi

This is probably my favorite anime of all time, with Sailor Moon JUST barely behind it (though people who know me would think it's the other way around). Just it's practically perfect, with unique character design, great acting, music, animation, plot. Has comedy and romance and angst and supernatural and action~! I also loved the AU movie version, even with its abrupt ending.

 

Give me character study, with Hitomi after she comes back from Gaea, with Van, before Hitomi, during Hitomi, and after she leaves. Van and Merle's relationship (platonic only please) and how it's changed and matured.

 

They're star-crossed lovers, so give me the angst, the societal pressure for Van to marry and carry on the line, for Hitomi to have to live with the fact that there's other worlds out there and she's stuck in this mundane one. I don't want sad, though, or them giving up on each other when the fic ends.

 

I'd love to see how they can still communicate with each other, through psychic means, dreams, or simple random visions? It can span years (though not decades please). How they still love each other and learn about each other. Maybe Hitomi gets sucked back because of other nasties coming to Gaea, or she finds a way to go back. How does she fare permanently living there, or does Van find a way to co-exist in both places?

 

Give me AUs with them~! Sprinkle the other characters in! Give me dark fic with a happy/hopeful ending! Dilandau is so interesting and tragic, and their obsession... Even if they're no longer Dilandau, still some interesting aspects there.

 

Again, I'll happily take anything but if you're in a smutty mood. Their first times, did they manage it before Hitomi leaves? Or do they explore each other sort of on the astral plane/through dreams/ghost visions? Or does it happen later on when one can actually visit the other? For them I tend to lean more romance/fluffy than kinky/BDSM-y. But that doesn't mean  you can't do some kink! Ropeplay could be interesting, or other kinks with them experimenting. If you want to add Allen you can, but I don't see him being romantically involved, just him and them enjoying each other and having a different kind of bond.

 

If you're coming through to make fanart, and any of the above inspires, have at it~! I do have fanfic I've written if you'd want to read those and be inspired too. I'd love podfic if that's your thing. And fanvids... maybe something angsty/hopeful? Or do something like the infamous Nescaflowne parody music video/fandub. It had the ending that almost all of us wanted.

쌍갑포차 | Mystic Pop-up Bar (TV)  
Characters: Weol Joo, Gwibanjang | Yi Hon, Han Kang Bae
Ships: Weol Joo/Gwibanjang, Han Kang Bae/Kang Yeo-Rin

God, I loved this series so much. Despite the summary, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. Was ugly crying a lot for some of the poor stories and souls we learned about. I mentioned this in the request area, but if you happen to do "mission fic" don't focus/linger on the grief/regret of the souls and/or their family. I prefer the mystery aspects and problem solving and of course these characters interacting with each other and trying to get it right, haha.

I'd be happy with in between stuff that happened during the course of the show, could just be character moments, angst, reflections. Or it could be pre-series with Weol Joo and Gwibanjang doing other cases together, and how they would lock horns. Or maybe, this isn't the first time "Gwi" has helped out Weol Joo since he worked up the ranks, and used a different face.

We briefly got to see what a badass he was at his prior job. Maybe parallels of when he was working hard fighting bad spirit criminals, juxtaposed with Weol Joo working hard when she hadn't lost faith in saving good people from shitty situations.

With Han Kang Bae, I'd love to see a bit of that angst from before he met the others, paralleling what we see of Kang Yeo-Rin's own problems. How their relationship gets better after the series. I'd love to see the family dynamics of all of them, maybe fighting a case together!

For anything smutty, it could be with Weol Joo & Yi Hon in their first lives. Their first times. Did it start in dreams first? Or physical? Or maybe in their current "lives" hate!sex before knowing who each other were? Could be fun power dynamics there. Or sweet/sensual after they get another chance to be together! 

AUs could be interesting here as long as a bit of that angst they have still factors in somehow.

Specific DNW: Death/Regret focuses, future reincarnation fics, nihilism/existentialism 

 

Constantine
Characters: John Constantine, Manny, Anne Marie Flynn
Ships: John/Manny, John/Anne, John/LoT Crew, John/Others, John/Supernaturals

I honestly don't have much else to say than what was in the request~! I haven't had a chance to rewatch this show in a while, but gods, did I love it when he guested and became a regular on Legends of Tomorrow! I haven't quite caught up to the latest season and a half but if you want to incorporate any of that, tie it in to what happened at the end of this, I'll be more than happy!

I seriously love my disaster Bi. Feel free to do a character study on John Constantine, get as angsty as you want, but please leave it hopeful. I love putting him through the ringer, I love how deliciously bi he got to be in Legends of Tomorrow so if you wanted to showcase that more from eps during his show, you can! Maybe some mission gone awry when he's out with Zed?

Maybe he'd encountered some of the LoT crew before and didn't realize it, either he or they in disguise at the time. How did he and Manny get along before the show? Acquaintances with benefits? More? Def interesting power dynamics! Or after the show, did John figure it all out? How'd he deal with Manny's betrayal? Hate!sex?

Anne leaving the nunnery and joining John and the others, what interesting dynamics could happen there? Do they manage to rekindle something? What does she get up to when John joins a crew of superheroes?

If you want to go smutty, go ham! I can see John being free to have parties and being with anyone who takes his fancy. Even supernatural creatures if the timing's right! How does he use magic to make it better? Or maybe dealing when he first realized he was bi? Balancing that with all the supernatural stuff that he's a magnet to.  If you do bring in any of the LoT crew, I'm big on him and Sara or him and Ray, but most any of them would be fun. Could even throw Oli and/or Felicity~!

If anyone wants to do a fanvid, mixing in all the Constantine appearances we get on TV, I'd love just something angsty yet empowering about his character, his loves. Rock Opera style maybe, but doesn't have to be. Just no throat/scream core. The many Lives/Loves/Losses of John Constatnine, Hellblazer.

Specific DNW: tragedy, reminder of no religious/sacrilegious sex, John/Zed, anything related to necrophillia

 

신입사관 구해령 | Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (TV)
Characters: Any
Ships: Yi Rim/Goo Hae-ryung, Yi Rim/Goo Hae-ryung/Min U-Won, Yi Jin/Goo Hae-ryung/(Min U-won), Goo Hae-Ryung/Song Sa-Hui

I have to admit, I signed up at 5 minutes before the deadline which was 2am for me, and I misread the available characters. I thought  it was Yi Rim and not Yi Jin. However, I do also really love Yi Jin as a character so, you may use any of the characters, dear author, and they don't have to be shippy, but I did add in the ships other possibilities I'd like to see.

I'm very happily a canon shipper in this series, so as long as there's no heartbreak (maybe an unspoken open relationship policy considering everyone's statuses), feel free to take into account any of the above ships.

But first! Character study! Goo Hae-ryung is my absolute favorite character, she's so complex and interesting. I'd love to see her thoughts that we didn't se during the show, or how the other characters' opinions/thoughts/feelings of her change over the course of events/show. How her presence changed the way they carried on their lives. Also wouldn't mind a bit of au "kid fic" where maybe they met each other when they were children in some form or another. A chance meeting/interaction and maybe remembering when they're older after they've gotten together or settled into whatever new life they have.

Min U-Won has such angst potential, and I'd love to see how he'd fall for Goo Hae-ryung, and how he'd try to woo her. If you add Yi Jin, maybe it starts as asking for a advice, and light jealousy happens, that causes them both to expose their feelings? If you do include Yi Rim instead of Yi Jin, I could see Yi Rim realizing that Min U-Won has feelings and tries to get them together. I know in the show he gets stupid/childish jealous, but maybe it's different now that he's gotten to know Min U-Won and subconsciously started to feel things for him too.

There was so many subplots going on in this show, a bit of the supernatural, so if you want to explore those, go ahead~!

I also wouldn't mind some fun smut either with any of the above pairings, how they enjoy each other, experiment with each other, how forbidden and thrilling it is. Especially with either of the trio possibilities. How maybe it goes from lust to genuine love. The difficulties of keeping the relationships a secret but still letting the other know how much they care for them. Go as indulgent as you like. I'd also really love to see how Goo Hae-Ryung and Song Sa-Hui get together maybe? Started off innocently as them bonding and helping each other out and growing into something more? Feel free to also add Song Sa-Hui into the relationship mix if you're just as much as a fan of poly as I am.

You could also do angsty or darkish fic because of some of these relationship dynamics, so you can explore that, long as they don't break up (maybe as a matter of show but not for real), and it ends up happy/hopeful. Or trying for some AUs would be interesting. 

Specific DNW: cheating, breakup, Yi Rim being an antagonist or 100% out of the picture
